The Oshana Province is situated in the northern parts of Namibia. It has a total population of approximately 175 000 inhabitants and its capital is Oshakati. The country’s largest number of businesses are located in this province and is also relies on agricultural activities to sustain its economic industry. This province borders on four of the country’s other provinces – Ohangwena, Oshikoto, Kunene and Omusati.
The capital town of Oshakati is well-known for being the base of operations for the South African Defence Force during the South African Border War and Namibian Independence War.
