Karasburg

Geography and history

Karasburg is a town located in the Karas Province of Namibia. It is located in the southern parts of the country and has a total population of approximately 5 000 residents. This town is considered to be the main centre for Namibian sheep farming.

Karasburg is known for its extreme weather conditions where some days are as hot as 40 degrees Celsius. This area has much wildlife roaming its lands such as kudu, springbok, zebra, caracal and jackal.
