Omuthiya
Geography and history
Omuthiya is the capital town of the Oshikoto Province of Namibia. It is located in the northern parts of the country and has a total population of approximately 5 000 residents. The city of Tsumeb used to be the capital of the province, but this was changed to Omuthiya.
This town is located only a few kilometres from the well-known Etosha National Park. SWAPO won 92% of the votes for Omuthiya in 2010 during the local elections.
